Mrs Janet Ede (f)

NURSE PRACTITIONER


Janet Ede – RGN Trained in Adults, Advanced Nurse Practitioner Degree with RCN Merit Award.


The Nurse Practitioner provides appointments for acute problems in anyone from birth to old age, just as they would when they do their work in GMEDS. The Nurse Practitioner does not deal with any ongoing (chronic) problems or see patients for pregnancy or pregnancy related ilnessess' once they are 12 weeks or more into the pregnancy.  The Nurse Practitioner is able to see patients for emergency gynaecology problems but not for non emergency problems including cervical smears and vaginal swabs - these should be seen by the Practice Nurse or GP as appropriate. 


 


The Nurse Practitioner appointments can be allocated by Reception Staff, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or GP.

Ms Anne-Marie Jackson (f)

ELDERLY CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER

Anne-Marie is an Elderly Care Nurse Practitioner who assists the GPs with the care of the elderly within our pracitce.  Anne-Marie has completed the RCN accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner programme.  Anne-Marie can provided assessments in your own home regarding health and/or enviroment issues.  Anne-Marie can also deal with long term condtions such as COPD, housebound patients and acute problems on the day that require a house visit.  Anne-Marie will liasie with other professionals to provide continuity of care.

Healthcare Assistants

We have two Healthcare Assistants, Heidi Durno & Kerry Heeps.  The Healthcare Assistants assist the nursing team with blood tests, ECGs and other procedures in the hope that this reduces your waiting time for an appointment.
